Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Substation Engineer to join a project team of engineers and designers working on high voltage substation projects.

The role includes project conceptualization, planning, and execution with potential travel to client sites and a generous relocation package. A BS in engineering and 3+ years MV design experience are required, with strong communication and design-review skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
• 3+ years' experience in the design of medium voltage power systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budgets and deadlines.
• Experience tracking project information: schedules, expenditures, status reports, client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Support challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information clearly for clients and S&L formats.
• Develop your career via peer-learning through S&L’s Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
