Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join a high voltage substation project team. You will contribute to conceptualization, planning, and execution while addressing MV system design challenges and client requirements.

The role emphasizes hybrid work with three days in the office and two remote days, plus a relocation package depending on location. A PE license and ABET accreditation are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
• 3+ years experience designing Medium Voltage Power Systems (138kV+).
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information, schedules, expenditures, status reports, and client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Tackle challenging assignments including troubleshooting electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare clear reports meeting client requirements and company formats.
• Collaborate with peers through Communities of Practice to advance knowledge.
• Possibly travel to client sites as needed.
