Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join our project team in the United States. You will contribute to detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substations, working in a hybrid schedule with onsite and remote days.

You will apply your experience in MV power systems, coordinate with clients, prepare clear reports, and participate in knowledge sharing through internal Communities of Practice, with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
• 3+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking schedules and expenditures against budgets, and preparing status reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Support challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information to meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop knowledge through Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
