Job summary

Benesch is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of bridge and structural projects for our Tennessee team. The role requires technical leadership, client focus, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of engineers and designers.

You will guide projects from concept through final delivery, mentor engineers, and work directly with clients to develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and project strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience; 12+ preferred.
• PE license in Tennessee or eligible via reciprocity.
• Experience with TDOT or local municipalities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Bentley CAD and structural design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of bridge and structural projects.
• Oversee conceptual through final design; mentor junior staff.
• Prepare and review calculations, plans, specs, cost estimates, reports.
• Develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and contracts.
• Coordinate with clients to establish project strategies and budgets.
• Ensure projects meet TDOT standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality control.
