Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team in the USA Southwest region, working on analysis and design for semiconductor and industrial facilities. You will develop concepts, complete analyses, and collaborate with designers to ensure accurate design documents.

You will grow with support from a collaborative team, using emerging tools and design methods within a hybrid work model that balances office and project site presence.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification. Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform classic structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Apply engineering judgement to select and adapt techniques for design.
• Check own work and consult peers to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Communicate clearly with Lead Engineers and designers to convey structural requirements.
• Forecast level of effort and manage assigned scope within schedule and budget.
• Support leadership and mentoring of junior engineers and drafters.
