Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a mid-career Stream Restoration Engineer to work in one of our offices in Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, NC, or in Greenville, SC; Johnson City, TN. The role offers a Hybrid work schedule within one of the listed offices, with responsibilities spanning planning, design, and construction support for ecosystem restoration and related projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of consulting experience in stream and wetland restoration, strong modeling and GIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, agricultural, biological, or related field with water resources emphasis.
• 5+ years consulting in fluvial geomorphology, ecological restoration, soil science or related.
• Experience developing mitigation plans and agency coordination (USACE preferred).
• Strong field and data analysis experience in engineering contexts.

Responsibilities

• Direct multi-disciplinary project teams and manage scope and delivery.
• Perform and oversee fluvial geomorphic, sediment transport, biological and hydrologic studies.
• Lead field investigations and provide construction support services.
• Develop construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Apply hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software from 1-D to 3-D.
• Interact with client representatives and support business development.

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field

Advanced degree preferred

Professional licensure in engineering (P.E. or equivalent) preferred

Strong oral and technical writing skills

Valid U.S. driver’s license
