Geosyntec Consultants seeks a mid-career Stream Restoration Engineer for Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Greenville, or Johnson City, TN, with a hybrid schedule.

Role includes planning, design and construction support for ecosystem restoration and river/wetland projects, plus regulatory permitting and client interaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in restoration, GIS/remote sensing, and hydraulic modeling with ArcGIS Pro, HEC-RAS, Python, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

5+ years of consulting experience in stream restoration and related natural resources.
Experience planning field and desktop data collection and analysis for restoration.
Experience producing Mitigation Plans or bank instruments (preferred).
Strong GIS and remote sensing capabilities for riverine analyses.
Ability to obtain professional licensure within 3 years (preferred).

Responsibilities

Direct multi-disciplinary project teams on restoration projects.
Perform and oversee geomorphic, sediment transport, and hydrologic studies.
Develop construction documents and technical specs.
Lead field investigations and provide construction support.
Apply and direct hydrologic/hydraulic models (1D-3D).
Coordinate with clients and manage project scope and delivery.
Support business development and mentoring activities.
