Job summary

Hazelett Corporation is seeking a Buyer to ensure materials and components are available for manufacturing in a fast-paced environment. The role requires organization, clear supplier communication, and sound judgment to keep purchasing moving while anticipating business needs.

After three months of onsite training, a hybrid schedule is offered. Key responsibilities include sourcing from domestic and international suppliers, coordinating with Engineering, managing open orders, and communicating

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Working knowledge of integrated business systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong follow-through on projects and commitments.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in domestic and offshore procurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source materials and components from domestic and international suppliers, including Ebner business units.
• Work with Engineering and suppliers to clarify technical requirements, obtain quotes, and source new or custom parts.
• Manage open purchase orders and supplier commitments; confirm orders and follow up on delivery dates.
• Partner with Manufacturing and scheduling to understand upcoming needs and adjust purchasing priorities.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance through supplier comparisons and market changes.
• Prepare RFQs and purchase orders, and maintain accurate purchasing information in the system.
• Build strong supplier relationships and resolve issues per Hazelett’s quality management system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
