Job summary

Lighthouse for the Blind in Missouri is seeking a procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing of raw materials and supplies in our manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production planning, finance and logistics to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve supplier variances.

The role requires 2 years in procurement within manufacturing, strong negotiation and ERP skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification preferred in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 2 years of procurement/purchasing experience in manufacturing required; 2-5 years preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing and purchasing of raw materials and stock items.
• Collaborate with production planning, finance and logistics to meet deadlines.
• Support vendor negotiations and contract reviews.
• Develop relationships with approved vendors.
• Generate purchase orders and monitor supplier pricing.
• Analyze lead times and MOQs for cost efficiencies.
• Participate in supplier scorecard evaluations and corrective actions.
• Occasional travel between two locations as needed.
