Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead our strategic pursuit approach across markets and service lines. This high-impact role partners with firm leaders, seller/doers, project leaders, and technical teams to develop differentiated pursuit strategies, strengthen client positioning, and translate intelligence into winning strategies.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule with the flexibility to work from any Benesch office location.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services marketing, pursuit management, or related field.
• Experience leading complex, high-value pursuits from strategy through proposal and interview.
• Strong understanding of capture planning, messaging, and competitive intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic pursuit planning for priority opportunities across markets and service lines.
• Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops, kickoff meetings, and reviews.
• Develop messaging strategies for major proposals, interviews, and client-facing opportunities.
• Guide capture planning in collaboration with project leaders and technical teams.
• Coach teams on persuasive communication, storytelling, and presentation strategy.
• Elevate content quality and best practices for pursuit execution.
• Lead interview strategy development and preparation for shortlisted pursuits.
