Job summary

Benesch seeks a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead strategic pursuits across markets and service lines. This high-impact role partners with firm leaders to develop differentiated strategies, strengthen client positioning, and turn intelligence into winning plans.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who unites cross-functional teams, translates client priorities into win themes, and coaches teams in persuasive messaging and interviews. This hybrid role offers flexible work locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
• 12+ years in professional services marketing or business development.
• Experience leading complex pursuits from strategy through proposal and interview.
• CPSM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic pursuit planning for priority opportunities across Benesch’s markets and service lines.
• Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops, kickoff meetings, and strategic reviews to align teams around client priorities and pursuit objectives.
• Develop messaging strategies for major proposals, qualifications, interviews, and other client-facing opportunities.
• Coach technical staff, project leaders, and marketing teams on persuasive communication, storytelling, presentation strategy, and client-focused messaging.
• Mentor marketing professionals, helping build strategic thinking, pursuit leadership, and client-focused communication skills.
• Analyze pursuit outcomes, including wins and losses, to identify trends and opportunities to improve future pursuits.
