Dentons US LLP is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Business Development in Chicago to support firm-wide BD efforts across practice areas and sectors. The role coordinates RFPs, proposals, pitches and credentials, while collaborating with lawyers and BD leadership to drive growth and market visibility.

The position is hybrid, requiring strong organization, proactive initiative, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of business development or marketing experience in a professional services environment; law firm experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree; a combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, client-focused messaging
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication, presentation and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, adapt and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while working effectively and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team
• Strong professional presence and confidence interacting with senior-level lawyers and stakeholders
• A self-starter who is proactive and service-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to drive projects independently
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools, marketing technology, data platforms and marketing automation and analytical tools is a plus
• Available to manage demands outside of traditional business hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Proposal development and management across practice areas, tailoring content to client needs
• Draft and coordinate content for proposals, presentations and materials
• Maintain matter data in the experience management system for pitches and bios
• Update core pitch materials reflecting recent experience and team members
• Support client development efforts including target identification and pursuit strategy
• Identify cross-practice connections to increase internal visibility
• Conduct market and competitive intelligence research for growth opportunities
• Prepare insight-driven briefing materials for partners and leadership
• Support knowledge management projects for AI adoption and efficiency
• Develop and promote thought leadership, client alerts and events
• Collaborate on rankings, directories and profile-raising submissions
• Use CRM and marketing tech to support outreach and reporting
• Maintain client and prospect mailing lists and CRM data
