The American College of Surgeons in Chicago is seeking a Statistician to support the CQI Statistics team. You will manage data, perform statistical analyses, build models, and report results to leadership, researchers, and stakeholders in a hybrid Chicago-based role (3 days in-office, 2 remote).

The position offers a salary range of $75,000–$85,000 and requires SAS proficiency plus Python/R. A master’s in a quantitative field is required.

Qualifikationen

• A master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, public health, social sciences, or related field with strong quantitative concentration is required.
• 2+ years of statistical experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with SAS is required; Python, R, or other transferable programming skill set for data manipulation and analysis is preferred.
• Experience manipulating large data sets, data cleaning, transformation, and merging is required.
• Experience with exploratory data analysis and creating descriptive summaries is required.
• Experience with statistical methods such as linear and logistic regression, model selection, mixed hierarchical models, and survival analysis is required.
• Familiarity with SQL and Macros for handling structured data is preferred.

• Execute and define standardized analytic plans under supervision to support data analytics for assigned program.
• Support relevant classification methods and contribute to predictive and prognostic modeling, statistical learning methods.
• Provide ad hoc analytics support to assigned program.
• Contribute to custom research projects.
• Write sections of reports and manuscripts dealing with methods and results.
• Develop novel reports using SAS, R, Python and create visual reports and dashboards.
• Provide customer support to program teams.
