Job summary

Costello Medical, Inc. is seeking a Statistical Analyst to devise and execute statistical analysis plans using R, Stan, SQL and related tools.

The role involves analyzing diverse data sources, communicating methodologies and results to clients in the healthcare sector, and collaborating in cross-functional project teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong statistics background, proficiency in R, willingness to learn Python/Stan/SQL, and excellent English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific or mathematical discipline with focus on statistics and data analysis.
• Proficiency in the R programming language and willingness to rapidly develop programming skills.
• Ability to explain complex techniques and results to non-experts in written and oral form.
• Willingness to trial or adopt new software or techniques for projects.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with ability to deliver high-quality results under multiple deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to respond to changing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
• Excellent written English, assessed during selection.

Responsibilities

• Devise and perform statistical analysis plans and communicate methodologies and results to clients in healthcare.
• Work with data across patient-level trials, observational real-world data and published aggregate data.
• Utilize techniques such as regression, survival analysis and Bayesian network meta-analysis.
• Collaborate in project teams to ensure timely, high-quality outputs.
• Participate in client calls and meetings after induction, building external stakeholder relationships.
