Job summary

At Home in Coppell, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the company's financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and technical accounting initiatives. This role prepares journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual external reporting.

Under the Manager, you will assist with accounting research, audits, controls, and system improvements, with a focus on automation and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience; multi-unit or retail preferred.
• US GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Exposure to technical accounting research, audits, and internal controls.
• Large ERP experience preferred; CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring schedules and analyses for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Review data for accuracy, research variances, and assist in preparing statements under US GAAP.
• Record journal entries and prepare GL reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Support accounting research, controls, and process improvements with automation focus.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting Operations to resolve questions.
