Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for a newly created role in the Mt. Holly/Huntersville area.

This direct-hire position reports to the Corporate Controller and supports two companies with core accounting functions. You'll handle accounts payable, general ledger, cash application, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, with opportunities to improve processes and participate in audits and tax filings.

Qualifications

• Experience handling core accounting functions for multiple entities.
• Proficiency with US GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies within reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and manage related approvals.
• Maintain general ledger entries and prepare journal entries.
• Perform cash applications and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist with sales and use tax filings and audits.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Provide backup support for AP/AR as needed.
