Job summary

Daisy Brand is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Accounting & Finance department. Responsibilities include entering data, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts in alignment with GAAP.

The role emphasizes leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation to improve efficiency, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite M/T/Th and remote W/F, and future office move planned to Plano area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Part-time or internship experience in an accounting role is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP; exposure to accounts payable is a plus.
• Previous experience with ERP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries while understanding their impact on the General Ledger.
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts as assigned.
• Assist in the generation and review of monthly supporting schedules.
• Analyze and provide insight into monthly results versus budget and/or forecasts.
• Analyze and research expense activity to ensure proper timing and classification in accordance with corporate policy and US GAAP.
• Evaluate current procedures and make recommendations that lead to cost reductions and other efficiencies.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy in managing assigned tasks.
• Carry out special projects and other duties as assigned, delivering ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
