Jobot in Reston, VA is seeking a dynamic Hybrid Staff Accountant to join our team. The role combines stability with flexibility, focusing on A/R, bank reconciliations, sales tax, payroll entries, and cash flow management.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the government sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with managing Accounts Receivable, reconciling bank accounts, preparing annual sales tax returns, preparing payroll journal entries, and overseeing cash flow.
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements and balance sheets.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable including invoicing, collections, and reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and file annual sales tax returns in compliance with government regulations.
• Prepare accurate payroll journal entries and ensure payroll transactions are processed timely.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to management.
• Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee month-end closing processes and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
