Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant for Accounts Payable & Operations in a full-time role. The position focuses on managing accounts payable, supporting broader accounting activities, and ensuring data integrity.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include high-volume check runs, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and contributing to month-end close.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 0--3 years of accounting experience, including familiarity with full-cycle accounts payable.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable including high-volume check runs and payment processing.
• Assist in month-end close and journal entries as needed.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Input and maintain accounts payable records; generate reports and analyses.
• Support audits and other accounting requests related to accounts payable.
