Job summary
IPC Systems is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II in New York, NY, to own monitoring, observability, and automation across global platforms. You will drive reliability, build automation, and integrate with ServiceNow, working with Linux-based environments and cloud services in a hybrid office model.
You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and Security to ensure scalable, available services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in site reliability, platform engineering, or production infrastructure.
- Strong Linux administration skills and familiarity with Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability for production services.
- Ability to automate operational work using Python or similar languages; APIs and configuration management experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve monitoring/observability for assigned services and platforms.
- Develop automation, REST API integrations, and reusable monitoring components.
- Integrate monitoring into CI/CD and use IaC for deployments.
- Own ServiceNow integrations for alerts, incidents, and CMDB workflows.
- Lead reliability improvements, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain runbooks, procedures, and operational readiness evidence.
