Emerald Academy in Knoxville seeks a Special Education Services Teacher to provide individualized instruction and ensure access to the general curriculum in the least restrictive environment. The role requires developing IEPs, collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families.

The teacher will monitor progress, maintain records, and apply evidence-based strategies to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Formación

• Must hold or be in the process of holding a Special Education Tennessee Teacher License with endorsement 461.
• Must meet highly qualified status for areas of teaching.
• Must possess a passion for the work and thrive in an innovative environment.
• Minimum of 3 years evidence of effective teaching.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of rigorous SPED instruction.
• Develop and implement IEPs and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff and families.
• Use data to drive instruction, planning and decision-making.
• Foster an inclusive classroom with high expectations.
