Job summary

Salem Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher Pool for PreK-8 to support students with disabilities in Salem, MA. You will collaborate with core teachers to ensure access to the curriculum and implement inclusive practices while managing a caseload and delivering accommodations.

You will develop and monitor IEPs, use data to guide instruction, and work with paraprofessionals and family partners to promote student growth and achievement in a diverse urban setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Massachusetts teaching certification in special education required.
• SEI Endorsement required within 1 year of start date.
• Proficiency with technology and blended learning desirable.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Hold high expectations for student learning and behavior.
• Provide specialized instruction to access curriculum for students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement IEPs and behavioral interventions.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and clinical staff to deliver services.
• Use data to drive instruction and monitor progress.
• Engage families and community partners to support student outcomes.
