Job summary

Bridgewater Bank in Saint Louis Park, MN seeks a Specialty Accounts Specialist to support the Deposit Services Operations team. You will handle IRA, Trusts, Estates, UTMA, POA, 1031 Exchange, TIMBR, and Wholesale account openings, perform transactions, document reviews, and respond to service requests while escalating complex issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail banking, deposit operations, or related financial services experience.
• Experience with specialty deposit accounts, IRAs, fiduciary accounts, or account documentation preferred.
• Knowledge of deposit operations, client documentation, and transaction processing controls.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures, exercise sound judgment, and elevate issues appropriately.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process IRA transaction review, approval, death claims, and related maintenance in accordance with procedures and approval requirements.
• Complete annual IRA year-end and Form 5498 reporting tasks, including researching and correcting identified exceptions.
• Research IRA transaction issues and elevate complex or high-risk matters to the Sr. Specialty Accounts Specialist.
• Monitor and respond to specialty account requests received through the Deposit Services Operations inbox within service expectations.
• Support specialty account document reviews for Trusts, Estates, UTMA, POA, Young Investor, and other account types.
• Provide operational support for 1031 Exchange (CPEC) relationships and TIMBR services.
• Review UTMA reports and assist with account transitions when custodial accounts terminate.
• Support opening, maintenance, and closure of Wholesale accounts.
• Assist with testing and implementation of activities for new or enhanced specialty products and procedures.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client service.
