Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a Solutions Architect – Data Analytics to define and guide the technical implementation of the organization's data strategy centered on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. This hybrid role is based in Newport News, VA, balancing 3 days in the office with 2 days remote.

You will design scalable data solutions for analytics, AI and reporting, bridging business needs with technical execution and leading a team of engineers across the data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in enterprise IT operations, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions spanning multiple apps, data sources and platforms.
• Hands-on with IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments.
• Cloud data platform experience using Databricks and Azure data services.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic data architecture and guide enterprise solution design.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure secure, scalable implementations.
• Collaborate with business units to translate needs into automated data solutions.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD and IaC practices across teams.
• Stay current on data technologies and promote innovation.
• Mentor engineers and ensure high-quality documentation.
