Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to guide data engineering and data science teams, and act as a technical advisor to the sales force while advocating for customers to drive data-driven outcomes with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with strategic prospects, work with product and engineering to advance the roadmap, and design architectures and solutions for complex deployments. This hybrid role is based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, data science, architecture, or pre-sales/consulting.
• 8+ years with Big Data tech (Spark, AI, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.).
• Strong consulting / customer-facing experience.
• Coding in Python, R, Java, Spark or Scala.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Willingness to travel to customers in your region.
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership on customer problems.
• Develop account strategies with sales and execute them to solve business problems.
• Consult on Big Data architectures and proofs of concept across data engineering, data science and ML.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects to support users and projects.
• Promote and contribute to Databricks open-source projects across the developer community.
