Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a Software Quality Engineer I–III for a hybrid role with in-office days across multiple U.S. locations. You will prevent and detect defects, assess solutions for customers, and enable delivery teams while collaborating within an agile environment.

Roles vary by level and require a CS degree with hands-on testing, automation, and knowledge of industry-standard QA practices. Opportunities include relocation and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• The Software Quality Engineer I would have a BA/BS degree in computer science or related field and relevant experience in one programming language, such as Java, Ruby, Python or C# or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The Software Quality Engineer II would have a BA/BS degree in computer science or related field and 3 years of experience performing software quality and testing throughout product development, deployment and maintenance and 1 year of experience writing, running and automating tests; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The Software Quality Engineer III would have a BA/BS degree in computer science or related field and 6 years of experience performing software quality and testing throughout product development, deployment and maintenance, including 3 years of experience writing, running and automating tests; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate on project scrum team and defect triage team while managing personal work backlog using agile practices
• Review user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications, software designs, code and tests to ensure quality standards
• Develop, automate and execute unit, component and system-level tests using industry-standard methods; write automated and manual test cases while collaborating with peers to ensure adequate coverage
• Report test results, submit defects, verify fixes, and assess impact of requirements/design/code changes to recommend test updates and regression testing
• Ensure software testability, test coverage and maintainability meet project requirements; mentor team members on achieving required coverage and improving automated test stability
