Job summary

Precise Software Solutions Inc. seeks a Software Engineer / QA Tester to support an online case management system for a federal government client. This hybrid role combines development, QA, help desk support, and content management in an Agile Scrum environment.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, resolves issues quickly, and maintains strong client relations while contributing to testing, documentation, and backlog grooming in Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Agile Scrum methodology with hands-on experience in a Scrum team.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for tracking work and producing reports.
• Comfortable managing a help desk / ticketing queue and communicating with clients on status and resolution.
• Experience with software testing practices, including end-to-end and regression testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science / IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support full stack development efforts for the case management system.
• Provide daily technical support and help desk ticketing for the system.
• Conduct end-to-end and regression testing across the web application.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and maintain the product backlog in Jira.
• Create and maintain documentation and status reports using Jira and Confluence.
• Maintain strong client relationships through clear written and oral communication.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve delivery speed and quality.
