Transamerica is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to build and support web and cloud-based applications using Python, .NET/C#, and modern frameworks. You’ll work with offshore and in-house teams in an Agile setting, designing solutions, implementing APIs, ETL processes, and automation tools for data integration and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 1+ year of professional software development experience using Python, .NET/C# or comparable languages.
• Knowledge of Python, .NET/C#, Java, OOD/OOP.
• 1+ year of database design techniques and RDBMS/NoSQL knowledge.
• Understanding of cloud services (AWS) and tools.
• Experience with build and deployment tools (Visual Studio, Git, Maven, Jenkins).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) in a CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development staff and product owners in an agile environment.
• Design and analyze deliverables and contribute to end-to-end solutions.
• Develop and maintain Python-based applications, APIs, ETL processes, and automation tools.
• Support production operations with root-cause analysis and data validation.
• Learn and apply new technologies to support project deliverables.
