Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer to design and build web and cloud solutions in a hybrid, three-city environment (Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO; Philadelphia, PA). You will lead end-to-end design, collaborate with offshore teams, and drive modernization across platforms.

The role requires deep AWS and DevOps experience, strong Java/.NET core, Python and automation skills, and a passion for secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Software Engineering and DevOps with CI/CD expertise.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Deep AWS experience including ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design across platforms for end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, contract and offshore teams in agile environments.
• Code, test, document, and optimize cloud-based web solutions.
• Guide changes to standards and best practices across the org.
