Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a mid-level Site Civil Engineer to support electrical utility and renewable energy projects. The role is based in Cincinnati, OH; Billings, MT; or Exton, PA with hybrid or remote work options.

Responsibilities include grading, drainage, and site design for substations, transmission lines, solar, wind and battery storage sites. You will prepare and review engineering deliverables, coordinate with Project Engineers, mentor team members and ensure quality and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of post-education engineering experience with civil design exposure.
• EIT Certification (preferred) and ability to obtain PE license within 1 year.
• Experience in site design for utilities, municipal infrastructure, drainage and stormwater management.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering deliverables for civil/site projects.
• Support grading and drainage design for utilities, substations, and renewable sites.
• Design site layout, grading, drainage and construction drawings; create BOMs and specs.
• Mentor and guide junior staff; coordinate with Project Engineer/Manager to meet scope, budget and quality.
• Review designs submitted by others to ensure accuracy and compliance.
