Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Staff Tech Lead Manager to steer the Core Cloud Services team building real-time and offline fleet-management backends. You will balance hands‑on coding with leadership, ensuring mission‑critical cloud reliability and rapid AI‑driven evolution.

You will mentor a team of 8–10 engineers, design scalable architectures, and collaborate with product, UX, and external partners to deliver enterprise fleet solutions.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, with 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of direct engineering management experience leading teams of 5+ engineers.
• Proven track record architecting high‑availability mission‑critical services.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and operate real-time and offline cloud backend services for fleet optimization and remote support.
• Ensure core cloud services have maximum uptime and fault tolerance.
• Guide the team on adopting AI tooling and agentic coding workflows.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Product, UX, Hardware/Autonomy, and partners.
• Balance speed and architectural stability while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Conduct 1:1s, career pathing, and performance reviews to grow the team.
