Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for the Core Cloud Services team to lead a group of engineers responsible for fleet management tools and cloud backend services. The role focuses on delivering scalable backend systems, collaborating with product and design, and driving end-to-end ownership across the stack.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical roadmaps, and partner with cross-functional teams to advance Aurora’s autonomous fleet management capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development with 5+ years as an Engineering Manager leading 5+ engineers.
• Deep expertise in cloud backend development, scalable web services, distributed systems and API design.
• Proven ability to work with product, design and operations stakeholders at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8–10 software engineers with regular 1:1s and career development planning.
• Design and evolve scalable cloud backend services powering real-time and offline workflows.
• Partner with product, design, autonomy, and operations to define and execute the technical vision.
