Job summary

Kripalu Center seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to shape and support its core IT infrastructure, spanning on‑premises and cloud systems. You’ll design solutions, expand infrastructure to meet business goals, and provide second‑level IT support, with hybrid work two days from home.

The role requires virtualization, Windows/Linux admin, networking, AD/Azure, security, and enterprise backup expertise to keep systems secure, scalable, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT/CS experience.
• 2+ years in system engineering and IT support.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix).
• Networking gear knowledge (Cisco/Meraki/Juniper etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft server OS, 365, AD, and Azure.
• Endpoint security (MDM/EDR) experience.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Datto).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage and backups.
• Document network configurations and changes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance.
• Patch Linux/Windows/SQL servers and other systems.
• Hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Provide level 2/3 support for infra and apps.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Manage AD, GPO, and identity controls.
• Design and test DR/BCP strategies.
• Support hybrid and cloud migration initiatives.
