Job summary

RCT Systems is seeking a senior Linux/infrastructure engineer to support a classified mission environment in a hybrid on-prem/cloud setting across multiple data centers and AWS. You will focus on Linux engineering, infrastructure operations, virtualization, security compliance, and automation, providing Tier 2–4 support and contributing to ongoing engineering projects.

Responsibilities include managing Debian Linux servers, VMware vCenter/NSX-T, AD/DNS/DFS/DHCP, DISA STIGs, and review boards,

Responsibilities

Engineer and support Linux servers/workstations, Debian focus.
Provide Tier 2–4 troubleshooting and incident resolution.
Manage VMware vCenter and NSX-T virtualization infrastructure.
Support Active Directory, DNS, DFS, and DHCP.
Maintain systems according to DISA STIGs.
Operate and maintain infrastructure across data centers and AWS.
Monitor performance and maintain inventories.
Handle data-center tasks: hardware, cabling, commissioning, decommissioning, property management.
Support virtual servers, Horizon VDI, and automation.
Coordinate projects, risks, conflicts, schedules.
Create and present technical documentation for review boards.
Use ServiceNow for requirements and incident management.
