Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing complex engineering tasks in power generation, including traditional steam, thermal, and nuclear technologies. The role offers remote and hybrid work options across the United States.

The ideal candidate will lead the structural discipline, develop calculations and drawings, and coordinate with engineers and project teams to deliver safe, efficient designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Responsibilities

• Support Nuclear Technical Lead and Department Manager with strategic resourcing initiatives.
• Supervise and lead a team of structural engineers through their development for greater utility to the organization and growth of the team.
• Serve as Structural Lead/Engineering of Record on projects, delivering calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Lead group standards/templates updates and evaluate software packages/plug-ins to improve efficiency.
• Develop task lists with hours estimates and schedules to support business development.
