SCS Engineers in Florida seeks a Design Engineer and/or Project Manager to lead solid waste projects. Hybrid work is available in West Palm Beach or Coconut Creek, with responsibilities including design calculations, drawings, reports, and permitting as Engineer of Record for public and private clients.

The role emphasizes client communications, staff coordination, field activities, and business development in landfill gas, landfills, and related infrastructure across the South Florida market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant solid waste consulting experience (landfill gas, air compliance, permitting).
• Florida P.E. registration or ability to reciprocity within 6 months.
• MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Perform design, calculations, and preparation of drawings, reports and permit applications.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients.
• Coordinate staff and manage field activities (surveys, CQA liner installations, inspections).
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
• Work on office and field tasks in the South Florida market.
