Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer and/or Project Manager to lead solid waste projects I the Colorado market. The role offers hybrid work in our Denver, CO office, with responsibilities spanning design, permitting, and construction support.

The candidate will prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications, and may serve as Engineer of Record. A PE license, or reciprocity within 6 months, is preferred, with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Colorado P.E. registration is required or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in solid waste, landfill gas management, air compliance, and permitting is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients in Colorado.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate staff across projects.
• Travel to sites for inspections and construction support as needed.
• Provide staff training and development to enable advancement.
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
