SCS Engineers in the Northern Rocky Mountain region is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead key solid waste projects, manage client relationships, and provide technical direction. The role involves coordinating resources, guiding design through construction and operations, and mentoring staff as the team grows in Idaho and Montana.

You will work on landfills, gas systems, transfer stations and planning, with hybrid in-office and remote work and travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the solid waste industry.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration; MT/ID registration preferred.
• Experience managing solid waste projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction.
• Strong project management, client management, and team leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead solid waste projects from planning and permitting through design, construction, and operations support.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted technical and project advisor.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex solid waste engineering, permitting, and operational challenges.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate technical resources, and mentor staff.
• Oversee technical deliverables, project budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Support business development through client engagement, proposals, interviews, and opportunities.
• Help grow SCS's solid waste practice throughout the Northern Rocky Mountain region.
