Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Design Engineer and/or Project Manager to perform solid waste projects in our Houston, TX office. You will prepare calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications, and serve as Engineer of Record for diverse clients.

You will collaborate with engineers, learn every project phase from design to construction, and contribute to sustainable engineering initiatives. The role is in-office and in the field, with opportunities for professional development, client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required; Texas P.E. registration preferred.
• Experience in solid waste industry and landfill design is a plus.
• Experience with environmental consulting and permit applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports and permit applications.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients.
• Coordinate with professional engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Perform field work including surveys and site inspections.
