Job summary

The Principal Real Estate Consultant at American Family Insurance plans, controls and directs real estate activities to optimize its portfolio in alignment with enterprise strategy. This hybrid role requires periodic in-office work from Madison, WI while supporting national real estate initiatives.

You will lead complex leases, acquisitions, dispositions and capital planning, report on status and projections, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven real estate solutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of program planning processes, tools and systems.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
• In-depth real estate related financial analysis skills with specific experience in cash flow analysis, and capital project budgeting.
• Extensive technical knowledge of real estate legal contracts, laws, terms, and the ability to draft contracts.
• Travel requirements up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans which align with corporate goals and utilize research to optimize real estate decisions.
• Record and report status of corporate real estate and projections; handle day-to-day leased properties.
• Manage transactions involving corporate real estate in support of the strategic plan.
• Complete other assignments or projects based on skills, achievements, or experience.
