The Principal Real Estate Consultant at American Family Insurance plans, controls and directs real estate activities to optimize its portfolio in alignment with enterprise strategy. This hybrid role requires periodic in-office work from Madison, WI while supporting national real estate initiatives.

You will lead complex leases, acquisitions, dispositions and capital planning, report on status and projections, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven real estate solutions.

The Principal Real Estate Consultant plans, controls and directs real estate activities; identifies, acquires or leases land and buildings for the organization's operations. You will convert enterprise strategy into a leaner, more streamlined real estate portfolio. You will use independent judgment and specialized expertise to lead complex leases, acquisitions, dispositions, capital planning and negotiations. You will report to the Director, Workplace Development.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from Madison, WI 53783.

Depending on the candidate pool, this position may be filled at a lower level to maintain alignment with experience and qualifications.

We will not consider candidates who require current or future sponsorship for this position.

Position Compensation Range: $113,000.00 - $194,000.00

Pay Rate Type: Salary

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
