Job summary

National Grid in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major electric capital construction projects within the New England Electric Major Projects team. The role is hybrid and requires living within commutable distance of our locations.

You will drive multi-year transmission, distribution, and substation initiatives, coordinating with internal teams, contractors, regulators, and local communities to ensure safe, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 3+ years in engineering, project management, utility construction, or equivalent.
• Strong initiative, integrity and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and finalization of MSAs and construction contracts.
• Manage siting, permitting, regulatory approvals and cost recovery mechanisms.
• Manage project finances and schedules within budget and timelines.
• Coordinate contractors and project teams to deliver on time and within scope.
• Ensure SHES standards and OSHA regulations compliance on site.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and regular progress reporting.
• Provide emergency storm restoration support when needed.
