Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in electrical operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work across multiple departments and with union-represented employees.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to support off-hours work, emergency response, and overnight travel.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience with overhead and/or underground distribution systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the operations, maintenance, and construction of National Grid's electric distribution and transmission systems.
• Ensure construction standards, electrical operating procedures, and work methods are consistently implemented.
• Perform post-construction audits; compile reports documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Investigate equipment issues and develop corrective and preventative actions.
• Evaluate new equipment and technologies; support procurement and implementation.
• Support incident analyses and complete assigned corrective actions.
• Review and develop Electrical Operating Procedures (EOPs) with stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to promote safety and consistent work methods across regions.
• Participate in or lead special programs and cross-functional projects.
• Chair or participate in union/management committees as needed.
• Maintain strong communication with field leadership and participate in safety meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and storm response efforts as required.
