Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to provide high-level technical support, perform complex piping calculations, and review designs for nuclear and other projects. The role involves preparing design inputs for drawings, equipment specs, and participating in vendor data collection and economic analyses.

You will lead discipline work, manage budgets and schedules, and communicate clearly with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of relevant piping engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME BPV Code piping sections.
• Understanding of pipe supports and piping product applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex piping calculations and designs.
• Review system/structural designs and develop more complex designs.
• Prepare input for drawings (P&IDs, Master Diagrams) and review inputs.
• Prepare equipment and material specifications and bid evaluations.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and project plans; monitor progress.
