Job summary

The ideal candidate has RN, Pharmacy, or PT background with experience in patient safety, risk, and quality. The position requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to adapt as processes evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, pharmacy, PT, or related field.
• Experience in patient safety, risk management, or healthcare quality preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with hospital leadership and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Department Chairs and Patient Care Services to facilitate internal medical peer review and analyze serious patient concerns.
• Assist in analysis of adverse events and prepare for regulatory or accreditation visits; maintain confidentiality of information.
• Help identify corrective actions to reduce risk and support interventions with CRICO and improvement teams.
• Assist in reviewing and developing hospital policies related to patient safety.
• Identify barriers to improvement and work with leaders to overcome them.
• Provide education and support to nurses, physicians, and committees on patient safety topics.
• Contribute to orientation and training of department staff.
• Assist in preparing presentations for committees under guidance of Patient Safety Manager.
