Job summary

Xcel Energy, a Fortune 500 energy provider, seeks an operations support professional to manage the journal entry process and drive data integrity across accounting systems. This role supports automation opportunities and backup administrative tasks in a hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates will have five years of utility operations experience, SAP proficiency, and strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Onsite collaboration three days a week is typical.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in construction, design, maintenance, or operations area (utility experience preferred).
• Must understand regular work functions of the area including work order creation, purchase requisition creation, capital/O&M policy, operations functions, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage work activities to meet customer/internal stakeholder requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage non-design work order creation, purchase requisition creation, and/or work order reconciliation for Operations business needs.
• Assist business unit customers with SAP errors related to work order release, purchase requisition release and other barriers to work.
• Support development and implementation of related automation for respective workstreams; assist training and utilization of automation.
• Communicate with business unit and stakeholders to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
