Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks a Sr Accounting Analyst to support month-end close, intercompany activities, audit support, and regulatory reporting. You will analyze complex financial data, prepare journal entries, and contribute to timely financial statements.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 4+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills; SAP knowledge is highly desirable. Hybrid work arrangement with onsite days, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of general financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Perform account reconciliations, postings, and inter-company billings.
• Prepare regulatory reports and tax filings; assist with audits.
• Provide analysis of complex financial data and prepare ledger entries.
• Coordinate with outsourced/other teams on financial matters.
