Job summary

RTX Corporation's Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) Military Repairs group seeks a Repair Design Engineer to develop and qualify repairs and tooling for military engines, support government approvals, and coordinate with repair sources and depots.

You will lead cross-functional teams, create engineering documentation, assess risks to schedule and budget, and travel up to 10% to support suppliers. Hybrid onsite/offsite work enables collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree with 3 years of engineering experience.
• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop repairs and tooling for military engines program and qualification for the tooling required to execute repairs.
• Support repair source qualifications, facilitate government approval, and coordinate with repair sources and depots.
• Create technical documentation with engineering requirements and substantiation on repairs procedures.
• Interface with program management to secure priorities and monitor risks to schedule and budget.
• Travel up to 10% to support audits and activities at suppliers and overhaul depots.
