Job summary

The Senior Manager, Digital Learning at American Academy of Otolaryngology works hybrid in Alexandria, VA, overseeing design, development, and maintenance of digital education initiatives for CPD. You’ll coordinate education activities across departments, align CME with ACCME/MOC requirements, and use evaluation data to drive program improvements.

You’ll lead content development, manage faculty and CME reviewers, and collaborate with committees to deliver high-quality online learning experiences

Qualifications

• Experience in professional education, CME, or nonprofit association environment with a focus on digital learning.
• Bachelor’s degree required (relevant experience/certifications may substitute).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with IMIS; and experience with web-based learning tech (LMS, Articulate).

Responsibilities

• Manages development, implementation, and maintenance of new content across eight Education Committees (16 new courses per year).
• Applies instructional design and adult learning principles to education activities.
• Manages faculty and CME reviewers through the activity development process.
• Collaborates with Education Committees to create CME that complies with ACCME requirements and MOC.
• Manages multiple projects and working groups for all assigned products.
• Maintains shared documents within the department.
• May participate on internal teams as needed.
• Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior with internal and external contacts.
• Duties may be added, removed, or changed at management discretion.
