Job summary

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is seeking a Director of Continuing Medical Education to oversee ACCME accreditation, joint providership, Cognate programming, and the ACSM educational planning. The role collaborates across ACOG divisions, manages staff, and drives data analytics to deliver compliant, engaging CME programming.

This hybrid position requires commuting to the Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in educational, health care and/or regulatory field.
• 5 years of experience managing ACCME accredited programming or equivalent CME accreditation qualifications.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Budget management experience.
• Experience with accreditation/credentialing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ACOG's jointly provided CME programs with Districts & Sections and non-ACOG organizations.
• Coordinate communications across departments involved in CME courses, meetings, and supporting services.
• Stay current on ACCME requirements to structure Cognate Program for members.
• Manage external stakeholders on CME-related matters.
• Prepare materials for ACCME reaccreditation and manage CME for ACSM meetings and district meetings.
• Oversee staff reviewing CME applications and provide analytics on CME portfolio.
